We cannot take responsibility if your espresso machine's manufacturer has altered the design of the machine, resulting in a portafilter that does not fit correctly. Additionally, our latest inventory does not come with an end cap on the handle.

While the item includes a 3 cup basket, this does not necessitate pulling three shots each time you use it. You have the flexibility to pull a single or double shot, which can enhance the crema and provide a more intense flavor profile. However, it is crucial to fill the basket as directed. Alternatively, this handle can be paired with a 58mm one or two cup basket should you prefer.

Many customers find that when transitioning to the use of this portafilter, they need to adjust the coarseness of their grind. Typically, when switching from a single or double dose portafilter or filter basket, a coarser grind is recommended. This adjustment stems from the fact that the bottomless or naked portafilter generally accommodates more coffee in the basket. If you maintain the same fineness of grind, you may encounter issues such as no pour, a very slow pour, or leaks around the grouphead area. Therefore, we suggest a slightly coarser grind for optimal results.

It is important to note that this item is compatible only with prosumer E61 groupheads. Unfortunately, it will not fit machines produced by Breville, Saeco, Gaggia, Delonghi, Capresso, Jura, Marzocco, Pasquini Livia 90, or Pasquini Livietta.
